Analisis Kebutuhan Asesmen Formatif Digital Berbasis Higher Thinking Order Skills (HOTS) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa SMP

This study aims to develop and evaluate the quality of a digital formative assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) using Google Forms at SMP Negeri 52 Seram Bagian Timur. The study focuses on examining the validity and reliability of the developed instrument. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving teachers and students of SMP Negeri 52 Seram Bagian Timur as research participants. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale distributed digitally and were analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel. The results indicate that the instrument has a high level of validity, as evidenced by the alignment of the items with HOTS indicators, clarity of construction, language appropriateness, and relevance to the learning objectives. The assessment results also show that the mean scores across the measured aspects were predominantly classified as high and very high. The reliability analysis demonstrated good consistency across all measurement aspects. These findings indicate that the HOTS-based digital formative assessment instrument using Google Forms is feasible as a practical and systematic alternative for learning evaluation and can support the development of higher-order thinking skills among junior high school students.
