Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of IT-based Inquiry Project Based Learning using various social media platforms (Q-RITS) on improving students’ learning independence and critical reasoning skills in the Computerized Accounting (Accurate) subject at SMK Negeri 3 Sampang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest– posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which received Q-RITS learning, and the control class, which used conventional learning. The research instruments included a critical reasoning skills test, a learning independence questionnaire, and a student activity observation sheet. The analysis results show that the implementation of the Q-RITS model significantly if p < 0.05, then the null hypothesis is rejected, indicating a significant difference improves learning independence and critical reasoning skills compared to conventional learning. The integration of information technology and the use of various social media platforms in the inquiry process and project development were proven to strengthen interaction, information exploration, and independent problem-solving. Thus, the Q-RITS model can be recommended as an innovative learning strategy in the Computerized Accounting (Accurate) subject to support the development of independent students with stronger critical reasoning skills.
